Registered Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is the manual manipulation of the soft tissue to relieve pain and tension, treat injury,
promote relaxation, and maintain and improve muscle health. This is achieved by stimulating the
parasympathetic nervous system which relays messages to the brain to slow the heart rate and lower
blood pressure. This process allows the client to feel calm and relaxed. The manual techniques used
help to increase circulation and bring fresh blood to the tissue being treated. This softens and lubricates
the muscles while helping to flush out adhesions and scar tissue buildup.
Our Registered Massage Therapists use orthopaedic assessments and palpation to analyze the client’s
condition and create a treatment plan to facilitate healing. The key to a healthy and functioning
musculoskeletal system is the delicate balance between length and strength. By addressing these
imbalances with massage, symptoms of pain and discomfort can improve and clients will leave with
not only increased mobility and range of motion, but also with a better understanding of their own
body.
